Sutter Union High School

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Sutter Union High School. SUHS has a strong history of academic and athletic excellence. Under the leadership of Mr. Ryan Robison for the past 26 years, who retired as Superintendent/Principal on June 30, 2024, our school flourished. I had the privilege of working alongside him, and I am both honored and excited to now assume the role of Superintendent.

 

As we transition leadership, the Governing Board has restructured our leadership roles. The positions of Superintendent and Principal will now be separate. I will serve as the district Superintendent, while Mr. Rick Giovannoni will take on the role of Principal at SUHS. Assisting him will be Mr. Robert Bennette and Mrs. Stefanie Danna as Assistant Principals. Together, they will oversee daily school activities and routines, while I focus on the operational and fiscal aspects of the district.

 

SUHS remains committed to our mission of providing academic and career technical education while promoting high social and moral standards to prepare students for their future challenges. We believe that maintaining high standards of behavior and attendance enhances student achievement. Our high-quality student activity and athletic programs complement our academic standards, aiming to develop well-rounded, productive citizens who contribute to their community.

 

The 2024-25 academic year will bring some changes, but change brings opportunities. I am confident that by embracing these changes, we can achieve great things. Our dedicated teachers and staff eagerly anticipate supporting our students and collaborating with parents to ensure every opportunity for student success.
